DESCRIPTION

The Ford GPW is a four-wheel drive 1/4-ton utility vehicle that was manufactured during World War II. It was developed by the Willys-Overland company, and Ford Motor Company produced the GPW—with the "W" indicating the Willys license.. The GPW and its Willys MB counterpart were used by all branches of the US military, as well as by Allied forces around the world.

The GPW was designed to be a lightweight and maneuverable vehicle that could be used for a variety of tasks, including transporting troops and supplies, scouting, and towing artillery. It was powered by a Willys 4-cylinder engine—nicknamed the "Go Devil"—and featured a 3-speed manual transmission and dual-range transfer case. The GPW had a simple and rugged design, which made it easy to maintain and repair.   All in all, it was a vital piece of equipment for the Allies and played a key role in their victory.

This 1945 Ford GPW is a highly original example that has been faithfully restored to proper military configuration.  It is equipped with a variety of IMA replica weapons, including a mounted M1919 Browning machine gun, and a new battery.  The motor turns over in an instant and runs like a top.

This GPW is a true collector's piece and is sure to turn heads wherever it goes. It is perfect for military enthusiasts, reenactors, or anyone who appreciates the history of the iconic Jeep.
