The Performance Revolution

The GWR is powered by the most advanced naturally aspirated engine ever developed by GW/Rothsport: the Quad Cam Twin Valve Flat-Six 4.0L. Capable of revving up to 9,000 rpm, this high-performance engine delivers over 500 horsepower and 340lb-ft of torque, all within a vehicle weighing just 2,400 pounds. Its lightweight carbon fiber body contributes to an exceptional power-to-weight ratio of 4.8 lbs per horsepower.

This represents a remarkable 25% improvement in power-to-weight ratio compared to the original Porsche® air-cooled 993, as reimagined by Gunther Werks.

Transmission

Getrag G50

The original Getrag G50 transmission is retained but has been fully re-engineered with custom gear ratios, providing an optimal balance of performance, refinement, and touring capability. The shift linkage has been upgraded for improved precision, and the transmission is paired with a single-mass mid-weight flywheel and an enhanced single-plate clutch for superior engagement. Additionally, a new lower-ratio limited-slip differential featuring carbon clutches has been integrated to maximize traction and handling.

Engine

In collaboration with Rothsport, Gunther Werks developed their groundbreaking 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine that redefines performance. Featuring a quad-cam, twin-valve design, this engine revs to an incredible 9000rpm, delivering over 500 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque. Weighing just 2400 lbs, it boasts a power-to-weight ratio of 4.8 lbs per horsepower, ensuring exceptional acceleration and responsiveness. Key features include a cutting-edge Slide Valve Throttle Body System, a new intake manifold, and lightweight titanium components in the valvetrain. The engine is the pinnacle of precision and power, setting a new standard in naturally aspirated performance.

Features

Overview

The updated body panel design enhances the GWR’s aerodynamics, delivering superior performance. The newly integrated S ducting on the hood generates high-pressure downforce over the front axles, boosting traction and precision handling. The re-engineered front bumper features a built-in wicker, fender extraction louvers, and aero vents that channel air away from the tires, minimizing front-end lift caused by tire rotation. At the rear, the open-air bumper, vented ducktail spoiler, and additional taillight vents work together to efficiently expel engine heat, improving overall efficiency.

Turbofan Wheels

Turbofan Wheels, The flat surface of the wheel face greatly reduces aerodynamic drag and helps deliver a clean aerodynamic wake. The Aero Fins that sit vertically along the wheel face are designed to increase airflow and cooling over the brakes.

Lighting

A fully bespoke headlight system has been engineered at the front, incorporating the latest advancements in LED technology. The lighting assembly is constructed using a combination of lightweight, forged T-6061 aluminum components and carbon fiber to support the larger Bi-LED projectors and active daytime running lights. The entire unit is encased in hand-polished, aerospace-grade glass housing, meticulously designed to integrate modern functionality while preserving the original design aesthetics.
